CNC Milling

CNC (computer numerical control) milling is a precision manufacturing process that uses a specialized machine called a CNC mill to shape materials. The machine is controlled by a computer program that guides the cutting tools along the workpiece surface, creating accurate shapes and features that are highly repeatable.

The use of CNC milling for prototyping allows for the creation of parts that are virtually identical to the final production parts, which can be useful for testing and evaluation. When creating new designs, it allows for rapid product development, and the usage of a wide variety of materials.

Zulu Manufacturing utilizes a large precision CNC bed mill capable of tolerances of less than 0.0005”. It has a travel of 40″ x 20″ x 21.75″.
